Exemptions to LCA in West Australia

31 December 2013

Click on image to read more... On 7 December 2013, the Liquor Control Regulations 1989 were amended to introduce new conditions to the exemption applicable to the sale/supply of gift hampers containing liquor.

The Act regulates the sale, supply and consumption of liquor. However, there are a number of situations where the sale, supply and consumption of liquor is specifically exempted from the application of the Act. Such situations involve small amounts of liquor supplied in controlled environments and social situations where relatively few people are in attendance. These prescribed situations are only considered to be exempt from the Act when the exact conditions of the exemptions, as stated in the regulations, are met. The prescribed exemptions and the conditions of each are summarised click here for policy
