Having been in the hospitality industry for over 35 years and due to the requirement to move interstate and internationally I’ve been required to complete a range of RSA courses. The Access All Areas training programme is one of the best training modules I have completed
Mike, General Manager Resort Hotel, TAS
Just a quick email to mention how Alicia was exceptional with me today. She helped me throughout my RSA NSW online course and even stayed after work to make sure I would get my certificate -she saved my job and deserves the ''employee of the month''
William, NSW
I really appreciated the videos to make the situations more realistic. I also appreciated the 2nd and 3rd opportunities to get the answer correct rather than just being rejected as unsuccessful. It was also extremely helpful to know you were just a phone call away when I got really stuck.
Robyn, SA Vineyard
The Access All Areas RSA training programme was convenient and uncomplicated. The system was easy to navigate through and their customer service was excellent.
Mark, NSW
Topics covered:
-
Sell or serve alcohol responsibly

Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits
-
Assess alcohol-affected customers and identify customers to whom sale or service must be refused

Implement harm minimisation strategies to minimise likelihood of customer intoxication, e.g. by promoting food, low-strength drinks and non-alcoholic drinks
-
Monitor customer behaviour and refuse service to intoxicated patrons in a polite manner, stating reasons for refusal
What to expect - This course looks at how to apply harm-minimisation strategies that reduce the likelihood customers will become intoxicated, by identifying those who are consuming alcohol irresponsibly or showing signs of intoxication, and stopping serving them. You will be asked to view videos like the one shown below, read information that identifies how to assist in preventing intoxication, the sale and supply of alcohol to minors, understand signage and legislation including penalties in relation to the irresponsible service of alcohol. You will learn strategies on how to refuse the sale and service of alcohol.
To ensure that you meet the learning outcomes for this unit, you are asked to complete the following General Assessment requirements – there are four (4) main stages of the assessment as noted below:
1. Knowledge Assessment
The knowledge assessment refers to the quizzes contained throughout the course which are found at the end of each module, each question must be answered correctly to enable you to proceed to the next module. If an incorrect answer/s is submitted you will be automatically taken to the beginning of the module to re-read content and re-answer the incorrect question/s
2. Case Study Assessment
This assessment includes short answer questions that must be answered correctly and in your own words. It is an online written assessment which requires AAAT assessors to mark answers, which means that you do NOT receive your certificate immediately, however we aim to assess as soon as possible, generally, you will receive your certificate within 1 business day of successful completion.
3. 1 WISE - Workplace Industry Simulated Environment
During this Interactive video assessment we are assessing your performance and knowledge skills. This assessment contains 6 video scenario/role plays that have been produced in an operational hospitality, simulated, industry environment, using simulated industry activities, set up for the purpose of assessment. You are to view and interact with each video scenario/role play. Each video scenario/role play contains between 5-10 interactive questions, each directly relate to the video scenario/role play being shown and will determine your performance and knowledge skills in relation to this unit.
3.2. WISE - Workplace Industry Simulated Environment
During this video upload, role play assessment we are assessing your performance, communication and knowledge skills. You are provided with three (3) video scenarios. The video scenarios have been produced in an operational hospitality, simulated, industry environment, using simulated industry activities, set up for the purpose of assessment. You are to use each video as a reference guide when filming video footage of yourself demonstrating via role play the correct procedure to refuse the sale and service of alcohol. You are required to upload three (3) short video demonstrations of a role play depicting you as the bar staff refusing the sale or service of alcohol interacting with another person playing the role of the customer (can be a friend or family member). Simply use your phone to record your role play and upload directly into your training account. It's easy!
If you answer a question incorrectly - don’t panic. You don’t have to complete the entire assessment again. You only need to re-attempt the incorrect question/s and in some cases, we may call you to discuss your answers.
-
All assessment stages are required to be answered correctly, for example if a question is answered incorrectly during stage 2, the student will receive emailed feedback/discussion from our assessors and asked to resubmit.
-
Stage 1 requires 100% competency to enable the student to proceed as noted under heading ‘Knowledge Assessment’
-
Stage 3.2 may require a verbal discussion/review between the learner and the assessor if checklist items are missing from the uploaded video role play
We suggest that take time to review the learning material carefully before reattempting your question/s. You will be required to spend a minimum of 30 minutes in each module and you will be required to attain a 100% pass before proceeding to the next module.
