New liquor and gaming signage

Changes will be made to liquor and gaming signage to increase flexibility, reduce costs and wait times for licensees, and better assist to minimise harm. The changes will take effect from 18 January 2021.

New engaging signage designs

The new liquor signage meets Australian Standards in relation to colour and pictograms, are visually appealing, and easy to understand. New gaming signage has been developed using research and independently tested for effectiveness in reducing gambling harm.

There are no changes to the number of liquor signs, and minimal changes to the number of gaming signage and information resources.

New flexible printing options

Liquor and gaming licensees will soon be able to download and print their own signage. This change allows businesses to print signs in-house or work with their own professional printers to comply with regulatory signage requirements.

Print-ready design files for all regulatory signage, including ‘difficult to print’ items, can be downloaded from the Signs for your business web page from 18 January 2021.

New online shop

The new Liquor & Gaming online shop offers more reliable ordering and reduced wait times. All regulatory signage will continue be available from the shop, which can be used as an optional print supplier from 18 January 2021.

Financial assistance will be provided to small and regional venues for ‘hard to print’ gaming collateral ordered through the new Liquor & Gaming online shop.

Free signage during transition

To help NSW businesses meet compliance requirements, discontinued signage stock will be available free of charge until 10 January 2021.

New signage stock will be available for self-print or ordering from 18 January 2021.
