AAAT issues the NSW Interim certificate once DAILY (Mon- Fri) for all successful applicants who have passed their assessment & provided their required documentation.

Please be sure to choose the RSA unit applicable to the state in which you intend to work. Some states have different requirements, and these are addressed in each specific State or Territory unit.

A person who undertakes the RSA NSW Online course with AAAT and who successfully completes their training, and has been assessed as having passed, will receive their L&G NSW approved Interim certificate the same day.

Please allow two (2) business days after submission for your work to be assessed.

We have been approved since 2015. 

The answer can be a bit complicated. It is best you contact NSW directly as you may have to do a bridging course which can only be done through them. Have a look at - this link

• If you already hold a NSW RSA interim certificate or competency ID card that is due to expire then you are only required to complete the RSA NSW Online refresher course - click here
• If you have NEVER completed a RSA NSW course previously then you will be required to complete the full RSA NSW course.
• If you have a national statement of attainment for RSA completed within the last 5 years in another state or territory, then you need only complete the RSA NSW Online Bridging course. This is done directly with NSW L&G

Yes, you are eligible to work in NSW if your QLD RSA certificate is less than 5 years old, unless you move permanently to NSW. However,?voluntarily completing the online RSA bridging course offered by Liquor & Gaming NSW will help you understand your obligations under the NSW liquor laws when working in NSW.

No. You must complete the NSW RSA Refresher directly through Liquor and Gaming NSW - LINK 

If you review the email sent to you, there are 2 attachments. The attachment titled with numbers is your Statement of Attainment. The second attachment with your name on it, is the VIC specific Certificate. Your employer needs this for you to legally work in Victoria. If this is not attached then please contact AAAT immediately.

No. The National RSA Statement of Attainment (SOA) AAAT deliver, covers all states however if you wish to work in NSW or VIC, you do have to do the specific course for those states.

No, You can do your course whilst at high school. Just going handling liquor when doping any assessments. Use water instead as a simulation.

During the recertification process, you will need to provide evidence of obtaining your RSA at the start of your training. The Refresher certificate or Statement of Attainment should not issued more than 3 years ago. Access Canberra have asked us to make sure all those doing the refresher course have a current RSA. If not, then the full ACT RSA must be completed.

Your Interim Certificate serves 2 purposes; 1. From the date of issue, it allows you to work for up to 3 months without having a competency card. 2. It is valid for 5 years (from the date of issue) to go into a NSW Service Centre and apply for your Competency Card. If you have not applied for your Competency Card and your Interim Certificate has passed the 5year period, you will need to sign up and complete the full NSW RSA course.

If you completed your RSA for VIC within the last 3 years, you must apply to complete the RSA Refresher Course directly through the Victroian Government Ageny here - LINK 

VGCCC is now Liquor Control Victoria. If you check the original email that was sent to you named "Your Certificate" there are 2 attachments. The second attachment is the VIC specific Certificate of Completion

AAAT is registered with Liquor Control Victoria (formally VGCCC) to deliver the Victorian Specific RSA and Issue the Vic Certificate

All RTO's delivering the NSW RSA must be registered with NSW Liquor and Gaming. AAAT is registered and therefore authorised to deliver the NSW RSA

Before you start the Approved managers course you will need to have completed an nationally recognised RSA course and be able to give us a copy of your Statement of Attainment. It does have to be an RSA done in WA. If you don’t have one then you can do one with us

Yes you can! The RSA and Food Safety certificates are are exempted which means you are able to complete these courses and receive your Satement of Attainment.

The only exception is the Approved Managers WA course. At this stage most Visa Holders cannot undertake this course. Check with AAAT before commencing.

Online training allows you to complete training at your own pace and at a time which suits you. It is simple to use. Courses are made up of Units of Competency.

The Units of Competency in your course are broken into various sections of learning to allow you to focus on one area of learning at a time and to provide flexibility in completion of the course.

Each section has information which you must read. The course content, or information in each section is the important detail you need to understand. At the end of each section there are a series of questions which you must answer by either selecting multiple choice answers or by typing in a written answer.

A National Training Package is a consistent and reliable set of nationally endorsed standards and qualifications for recognising and assessing people's skills.

A Training Package describes what skills and knowledge a person needs to perform effectively in the workplace without prescribing how they should be trained.

AAAT is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and the courses we offer are nationally recognised. We are able to deliver courses in every state

There are new requirements. Any business that prepares or serves food in any Australian state and territory, need a food safety management system within a business along with a Food safety Supervisor.

Take time to look at your Learner Portal. Within the 'Course Summary', do all the boxes say - 'Now being reviewed by the course administrator'. If so, we have it. If not, can we ask you to look at what the tab is saying and do what it says.

There could be a couple of issues here. Has your course been deactivated? Check which email you are using to log in as it might be different to one your registered with. Can you check your junk folder to see if they are going there. If the issue continues please contact info@aaat.edu.au

Yes you can. The worked is saved. We also recommend you don't leave your page open for long periods without any activity. If you do, just refresh your page when you begin again. This will ensure you are still logged in

We have sent the work back to you because we have found something missing or we have assessed your work and have given some feedback so you can make the required changes to your assessment. Simply log back into your account to see what needs fixing.

Observation Report (OPOR): Before you start filling this out, download and safe to your desktop. You can then start filling it out. Save it again when it is complete. It is ready to upload. There is a section to upload it. It is important to press the submit/proceed button at the bottom!!!

We can change the name of your certificate; however, we can only issue a statement of Attainment in the name given to USI. So, the first thing you will have to do is change your name with them. Once this has been completed, we will need to have a copy of a photo ID with your new name along with the letter or transcript from the USI registry stating the name change. It sounds ominous, but please be assured USI do this all the time and I have always found them helpful. Please go to www.usi.gov.au to begin the process.

We can only issue a statement of attainment in the same name as is recorded with the USI registry. If you have officially changed your name, then we can help you. We still have to issue in the name registered with USI, so your first action is to change your name with the USI Registry - www.usi.gov.au - send then a message and they will guide you through the process. Once you successfully changed your name, we will need a transcript stating your name changes and a photo ID with your new name. Once this is done get back in touch with us.  Good luck.

The following is what we mean by a suitably qualified or experienced person:

• Has a minimum of two (2) years food preparation experience in a commercial setting in the last five (5) years, or
• Manager of a food business, Runs a school or football club canteen, Food Safety Supervisor; or

Has successfully completed any nationally recognised food safety course as a minimum, such as:

• SITXFSA005 - Use hygienic food practices for food safety 
• SITXFSA001A - Implement food safety procedures
• SITXFSA006 - Participate in safe food handling practices 
• SIRRFSA001 - Handle food safely in a retail environment

Please Note:

• Your observer is not an assessor. Their role is to observe you undertaking food preparation activities safely in accordance with organizational food safety procedure
• Your Observer also has to sign a declaration about the observation.
• They also have to video themselves and their ID stating the meet to criteria to be an observer and they observed all activities completed by you in the Observation Report. "

When signing up to do the course you were asked to tick a check box which did let you know the courses deactivated after three months. This is because regulators often change the requirements of the course or legislation may changes and these need to be reflected in the latest course. You can contact the training team info@aaat.edu.au to have this reactivated. please be aware a $20 reactivation fee may apply.

To reactivate your course, you can send an email to info@aaat.edu.au with your reactivation request. However, please note that the reactivation of your course is subject to certain conditions. If your course has not been superseded, it may be possible to reactivate it. Just keep in mind that there may be a $20 reactivation fee. I hope this helps! Absolutely. We can help you with this. Our course is a nationally recognised qualification. In other words you can travel with it a get a job in any state. If you were thinking of becoming a Food safety Supervisor, can I recommend you complete the FSS Skill Set. This also meets national requirements and allows you to work as a Food Supervisor - the one in charge. Please be aware NSW has different requirements. We have you covered here as well, just make sure, if you do want NSW FSS then select NSW as you state for the FSS. FSS Course

It is even more important with the new legislation coming in December. 3.2.2A Food Safety Management tool, does require most business and organisations to have a Food Safety Supervisor. AAAT have the Food Safety Supervisor Skill Set ready for to gain the necessary qualification. Follow this link and then choose your state.

The conduct of business at the licensed premises must be personally managed and supervised by an individual at all times Approved Manager. So if you are doing this, then, yes. You also need to make sure you have a RSA.

AAAT is authroised by the NSW Food Authority to deliver the NSW Food Safety Supervisors Certificate

If you already have a basic food course (SITXFSA001 OR SITXFSA005), completed in the last 5 years, then you might like to step up to become a Food Supervisor by completing one more unit, the SITXFSA006 - Participate in safe food handling practices. Both units are required to meet the requirements to be a Food Safety Supervisor. If you do not have any food qualifications, can I recommend you do the FSS Skill Set - SITSS00069. This combines both units necessary to qualify you as a recognised Food Supervisor.

An Registered Training Organisation is not permitted to issue a certificate without this being presented - similar to not being paid without a tax file number.
